Corné joined Inkef to focus on early-stage Technology investments in software & Deeptech propositions. Before early stage investing he worked for several years in growth equity where he realized that his passion really lies in those formative earliest years of a venture. He started his career in London at Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch where he advised technology companies on M&A transactions as well as IPOs. He holds a BSc in Finance from Reims Management School and a MSc. degree in Financial Management from the Nyenrode, Netherlands. When not working with start-up companies you might find Corné on the beach playing beach volleyball, in the kitchen cooking, spending time with his family or reading up on technology trends
I really started my career as a roadie, travelling Europe with large stadium acts, building up the stages, audio and lightning equipment at festivals and concerts. That meant incredibly hard work for little money but it was a blast. In one way, the role of a VC is not that different: it’s our job to make ventures shine on stage!
