Kyang Yung | Inkef
My journey

Kyang joined Inkef in 2016 and has been a tech investor for 14 years. Prior to Inkef, Kyang led M&A and minority investments at Prosus’ fintech arm PayU, which brought him to developing economies across 4 continents. Before Prosus, he was a growth equity investor at HPE Growth Capital. Kyang started his career as an investment banker, based in London and Hong Kong. He holds a Msc. degree in Financial Economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

One fact

Outside of work, Kyang endlessly keeps making attempts to reach his former ITF juniors tennis level, however, to no avail. At Inkef, though, he has achieved his claim to fame as he goes under the nickname “el Professor” and is known for his “clinical but pragmatic approach”. While looking after 2 kids and supporting at least 7 founders, he tries to stay fit by sending emails from the leg curl machine at the gym downstairs.
